Masked Fighters Execute Men in Gaza City Amid Internal Power Struggles

A shocking video has surfaced from Gaza City showing masked fighters, some wearing green Hamas headbands, executing eight blindfolded men in what appears to be a public square. The victims, with their hands tied behind their backs, were reportedly lined up and shot as onlookers watched in horror.

According to WRAL.com, the incident has been geolocated to the al-Sabra neighborhood in western Gaza City. The video’s timing is especially disturbing — reports suggest the execution took place shortly after a ceasefire had come into effect.

Eyewitnesses and footage indicate that the victims were all men, some partially stripped and barefoot, underscoring the brutality of the act.

Conflicting Accounts Emerge

The identity of those responsible remains contested, though one group — Radaa, a Hamas-affiliated security force — claimed responsibility for the operation. In a statement cited by WRAL.com, Radaa said the operation was “a precise action targeting wanted individuals and outlaws,” adding that those arrested or executed had “participated in shootings, the killing of displaced persons, and attacks on civilians.

However, human rights groups and local organizations have sharply criticized the killings. The Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights condemned the event as an extrajudicial execution and called for a full, independent investigation into the incident.

Clans Condemn the Killings

Adding to the tension, the Doghmush clan — one of Gaza’s most influential families — issued a strong statement denouncing the killings. The clan described the actions as part of a broader campaign of intimidation and torture aimed at silencing dissent and consolidating control.

The Doghmush family rejected accusations of collaboration with Israel, calling them false pretexts used to justify arbitrary arrests and executions.
